One morning as we were walking out together in groggy silence — Graham for work, and I for groceries — I chanted inwardly: “It’s ok. God’s love is enough for me. It’s ok. God’s love is enough for me…”
A little bit of cleaning, a little bit of unpacking, a little bit of shopping, and a little bit of studying — the day is gone, the night is come. That has been my past couple of days since we moved.
I did notice that with the busyness, our affection for each other can sometimes run dangerously low. But we stick around, because, after all, that’s what marriage is about.
Then I caught up with Graham and said, “I love you.” : )
